which would be the VATEG Director of Public Relations and Events Coordinator VATEG Has been growing rapidly during the past few months and depending
on events to secure a regular amount of traffic We would like to hire a VATEG Member (Preferred to be a VATEG ATC) To
handle the Events operations that would include organizing new events,
contacting neighboring vACCs and coordinating fly inns and events for the vACC,
Posting Events on Different Forums and Handling all the vACC Public relations
work In coordination with VATEG Directors. He also has to
maintain a liaison to Virtual Airlines in the Europe/Middle East area, and to
include them in event planning and organizing. And finally he is charged with
managing a small but exclusive group of pilots who can be activated for specific
tasks such as providing sufficient traffic for Controller Practical
Examinations. The primary tasks
are: * Coordinate Events, like Fly-Ins and Group flights,
within the neighboring VACCs This is a very demanding position in VATEG staff, and
you should ensure yourself that you can devote significant time to your work. It
requires a good knowledge of the VATSIM VA scene, experience with organizing
events, and good relations to vACCs and VAs. Good graphical skills, and

A Group of VATEG Members are currently putting the last touches on VATEG
First scenery project which was chosen to be Marsa Alama International Airport. Until very recently, Marsa Alam (Arabic: مرسى علم)
was a small fishing village in Egypt, on the west coast of the Red Sea. However,
it has rapidly increased in popularity, and since the opening of its
International Airport back in 2001, it has started to become yet another
favourite holiday destination on the Red Sea Riviera. In fact, most informed
observers believe that it is destined to become as popular a resort as Sharm el
Sheikh and Hurghada, within the next few years. However, its airport is still
small and, as of May 2007, had only one departure gate. The Project is led by VATEG Member : Dr. Hamdy Amer

Controller’s Nightmare/VATSIM Pilot’s Dream
October 3rd, 2009 – 1900Z for 3 hours
So Cairo’s heavy traffic which made full use of the 2 runways will have to cope
with only 1 runway (05L/23R). What’s the catch? Well, long line-ups with
immediate departures and a nice row of flying heavy-metal approaching the same
runway.
To celebrate this moment (and to prove the controllers’ scope-worthiness), VATEG
invites you to fly in or/and out of Cairo on Saturday the 3rd of October 2009,
this unique and special event will span 3 hours, starting 1900Z (9 PM local);
Cairo to be fully staffed along with Cairo Control (which covers the whole of
Egypt's FIR).

So on Friday the 25th of September become the captain of your national/favorite
team’s flight to Cairo in time for the tournament.
This VATEG event will span 2 hours, from 1900Z to 2100Z, so plan your arrival to
take place in this window of time for the ultimate fun of flying in heavy metal
filled skies. Cairo Intl. to be fully staffed is guaranteed along with Cairo
Control covering the whole of Egypt’s FIR.

September 12th,2009 - 2000z For 2 Hours
Place:
The flight features Aqaba’s King Hussein International Airport (OJAQ) and
Alexandria International Airport (also known as El-Nouzha Airport, HEAX).
Background information:
Aqaba is best known today as a diving and beach resort, and a city with history
as far back as 4000 BC.
Alexandria (Pearl of the Mediterranean) is best known by its lighthouse (Pharos,
one of the seven wonders of the ancient world), its library (the largest library
in the ancient world), and the catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa (one of the seven
wonders of the middle ages).
Challenge:
As per NOTAM in HEAX: “Ufn RNAV SID/STARs suspended”, which means the approach
into HEAX will be a VOR DME approach, so for a change you can disconnect your
autopilot, forget about the ILS and enjoy a manual approach to the 5,900 feet
runway.
Time:
Saturday, 12th of September, from 2000Z to 2200Z.
Flight dispatch:
Full ATC coverage will be provided.
The default route would be "TBA W976 SISIK A791 MENLI A411 CVO A1 MENKU”, flown
at an even flight level (FL) as per Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM)
and a flight distance/time of approximately 300 nm/45 minutes.
Aircrafts up to narrow-body jets (e.g., B737 and A320) and all carriers are
welcome.

VATEG, VATSIM’s Egyptian vACC (Cairo FIR) invites you on Saturday the 29th of
August 2009 from 1800Z (2000 loc) to 2000Z (2200 loc) to join the “2009 Summer
Triangle Event”.
Show up on time, and you would be able to fly two legs in heavy traffic, each
airport is around one hour away from the other, all aircraft types and carriers
are very welcome.

In the first of February , VATEG-VATSIM Egyptian vACC and VATUAE -VATSIM
Emirates vACC will take the commitment and hold a 5 hours ATC services from Zero
to Ten , to cover the Important and Popular route between the two cities .
Starting from 1600z until 2100z expect Cairo International Airport (HECA) , And
Dubai International Airport (OMDB) Fully Staffed .
Further More , Gulf Control (a FSS that provide ATC for the whole region ) Will
be Online and will cover the flyers between the two airports over the Saudi and
Bahraini Airspaces In order to increase the enjoyment of Flying.

e) No landing clearance will be issued when RVR <Runway Visual Range> is less
than 350M.
F) Runway 05C and Runway 23C Available for CAT II operations.
